Pangrams Are The Points
A pangram uses all seven letters and is worth a seven point bonus on top of its length, which is usually more than several short words put together. They are listed first here for that reason. Most puzzles have at least one and some have several.
Why Your Puzzle May Disagree
This runs on a tournament word list. The puzzle you are solving runs on an editorially curated list that leaves out obscure entries and sometimes includes informal ones. Expect a handful of words here that the puzzle rejects, and occasionally one the puzzle accepts that is not here. The overlap is most of it.
